No Butter Garlic bread

I made this no butter garlic bread to serve it along side the broccoli soup. I didn’t feel the need to add any butter as I added the mozzarella cheese.

This no butter garlic bread perfectly complimented the soup, so I will be making it again.

You will need:

  • Basic dough
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • grated mozzarella cheese

Direction:

No Butter Garlic bread - the dough

Pre-heat the oven.

After the dough rises, spread it on a baking sheet and with your fingers make indentations like you would for a focaccia bread.

Then sprinkle or spread the garlic on top of the dough.

No Butter Garlic bread - spread the cheese

Cover the top of the dough with the grated mozzarella cheese. You can use low fat cheese if u like.

Bake the bread at medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes, until the bread is golden from down and the cheese melts and becomes golden.

Let the bread cool down for 5 minutes, then slice it.

Serve this no butter garlic bread with the any soup of your choice. My choice this time was Broccoli Soup.

Happy Baking, and as we say in Arabic “Sahha Wi Afia”

  1. thx for the comment on my stuff. yours look absolutely delicious and i’m gonna give it a try during the weekend, then let you know how it turned out.

  2. I made your dough last night in my food processor. It turned out absolutely delicious!!

I put it in muffin cups and baked it empty until lightly browned.

Then filled them with sauteed chopped beef, spinach, diced tomatoes. The beef was flavored with fried onions, garlic, salt, pepper and the spinach was flavored with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Then I sprinkled the baked “mini-baskets” with grated cheese.

    A WINNER!!
