Pineapple Dessert

This recipe has no name, so I’m simply going to call it Pineapple Dessert.

Its a dessert that reminds me of my childhood. Something my mom used to make as a side dessert every birthday.

Its simple and light. Nothing special here to be honest. Its just something you can whip up and serve in matter of minutes.

You will need:

  • 1 pack of tea biscuit
  • 1 can pineapple
  • 2 cups whipped cream

Pineapple Dessert - all ingredients

Here are all the ingredients that you will need. Take few slices of the pineapple and cut them into smaller pieces.

Pineapple Dessert - pulse biscuits

In a food processor, pulse the biscuits until powdery.

Pineapple Dessert - Add pineapple juice

Now add about 3/4 cup of the pineapple juice (the one in the pineapple can).

Pineapple Dessert - Mix

Mix it well.

Pineapple Dessert - Spread

Spread it in the serving plate. You can use individual plates or one big plate. I personally prefer the individual one as it looks better when serving.

Pineapple Dessert - whipped cream

Spread the whipped cream on top of the biscuit mixture.

Pineapple Dessert - then pineapple

Finally add the cut pineapple pieces and refrigerate over night. But I don’t wait that long :-P.

Happy cooking, and as we say in Arabic “Sahha Wi Afia”

  1. It’s a bit like a really easy cheesecake! Maybe using some cheese instead of cream will make it like a really quick cheesecake! But the base is pretty cool, using pineapple juice to bind it rather than butter… and maybe if you used wholewheat biscuits, and yogurt instead of cream, this dessert could actually pass off as healthy!
Thanks for the ideas 🙂 I love foods from people’s childhood…

    1. It a very versatile recipe … u can change whatever u want in it …i love your ideas …. it could be made into a cheesecake or into a healthy version … but as a kid .. this is how my mom used to make it .. and trust me .. for a kid nothin is better than simple whip cream 😀
